After 15 years in dentistry, Marketing Pirates of Dentistry and its network of dental principals are noticing it’s increasingly difficult to attract and retain good dental nurses, dentists, hygienists, therapists, practice managers and receptionists.

Even more shocking, only 30% of the overall UK workforce are estimated to be actively engaged. But that’s only half the story! The UK has 6% lower average engagement levels than other large economies.

A 2017 study by the British Dental Association (BDA) discovers 58% of NHS dentists want to move on, either to private work, overseas, into retirement or out of dentistry altogether. And 53% of young and newly qualified NHS dentists, aged under 35, intend on leaving.

Now imagine if 30% of dental practice lights, suction units, instruments didn’t work, how would this affect the running of UK dental practices?

There are no accurate workplace engagement figures currently available for the dental profession.

From November 1 to 8 November 2017 we are asking the dental profession to fill out a simple, anonymous short survey monkey asking responses to the following…

1. I would recommend my practice to friends as a great place to work.

2. On a scale of 1-5, how satisfied are you at work?

3. I rarely think about finding a new job in a different practice.

The goal is to elicit 1,000 responses from across dental profession roles. Can you help? Your network will know you truly care by supporting this mission.

A paid Facebook advertising campaign (November 1 to 8 November 2017) will also drive the dental profession to answer this urgent survey along with our profession sharing it across their network.
