The British Association of Dental Nurses (BADN) has announced a collaboration with Initial Medical, a provider of medical waste management services.

The partnership has launched an online survey regarding needlestick and other sharps injuries.

The survey, which is open to all dental nurses in the UK and Ireland, covers the following topics:

  • Frequency of handling needles and sharps.
  • Personal experiences with inoculation injuries.
  • Training and preparedness for managing injuries.
  • Workplace safety measures and improvements.

The survey is set to close on April 30, 2025.
