Ipswich Borough Council has granted planning permission for a dental practice to take over the property next door.

In February 2022, the Foxhall Dental Practice told the Ipswich Star it needed to expand after “seeing a 25 per cent rise in the number of patients over two years.”

The practice says it now has over 14,000 patients on its books.

Hiten Pabari, the owner and a specialist prosthodontist, applied to the council in October 2023 for permission to knock through to the house next door (number 51 Foxhall Road).

The practice’s statement to the council said, "The expansion into number 51 allows the practice to serve the community, as it did during the pandemic as an urgent care centre supporting the NHS. It continues to be one of the few NHS dental practices with oral surgery and sedation facilities."

Permission was granted on January 25, 2024.
