Sharing a smile in difficult times

Those within the dental nursing community should be extremely proud of the commitment, flexibility and passion which they have demonstrated during the last year. As irreplaceable members of the dental team, we have seen first-hand how important dental nurses have been in helping to deliver a new type of dentistry since the beginning of the pandemic.

Despite the many changes in managing and treating patients, along with many facing an increasing backlog in clinical practice, the Oral Health Foundation has been struck by the kindness and dedication of dental nurses in their support of National Smile Month.

Our charity campaign has been running for more than 45 years. Support and participation have always been completely voluntary, with dental nurses giving up their own time to help us engage local communities and champion the benefits of a healthy mouth.
