The National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) was delighted to hold its national Spring Conference on March 23 in Milton Keynes. This significant date marked exactly two years since the first UK lockdown, and just over two years since the last face-to-face NEBDN conference in March 2020. The NEBDN hosted over 90 delegates at the event, which consisted of representatives from centres, committee members and close stakeholders including the General Dental Council, the British Association of Dental Nurses and the Society of British Dental Nurses. The conference was titled ‘The Business of Dental Nursing’, and the NEBDN wanted to share its journey over the last two years and its plans for the next two. There was a particular emphasis on the development and launch of the NEBDN Level 3 Dental Nursing Apprenticeship Standard End Point Assessment, which will give centres and learners further choice in their dental nursing training journey.
