Danielle Schroven works at Homemill Dental Care in the New Forest. Like many dental nurses, her worklife was ‘pretty normal’ and, much like other dental nurses, her responsibilities included ‘the standard clean downs before and after patients, guiding patients, talking to them, making them feel comfortable within the practice and assisting during procedures’. Since COVID-19, she has found all jobs have been majorly expanded.
‘The cleaning, the PPE, the prepping of surgeries and most of all making sure we are being safe in all aspects of the practice’ are now a priority. She returned to work on 14 April and, she says, the preparation was ‘just insane’.
