Charlotte Lever has been working as a dental nurse for nearly five years, beginning her career training at an NHS practice in Winchester, where she qualified in 2020. Speaking about her journey into dental nursing, she explains, “I have always loved everything medical, but wasn't sure if I wanted to commit to the long hours and shifts that hospital nurses do. So, when I saw my family dentist was looking for trainee nurses, I just decided to go for it!”
However, Charlotte didn’t choose to pursue dental nursing on a whim, expanding, “I also thought that there were lots of opportunities for career progression, which sounded great, and there were a lot of options when it comes to where you want to work – the range of settings is so diverse.”
