Why social media is magic when it comes to marketing dentistry to the phobic and the fearful

Clare McHugh has been a dental nurse for 12 years and worked at Halesowen Dental, a private practice on the outskirts of Birmingham, up until December when she left to join her husband at his dental lab. Clare, however, still manages the practice’s digital marketing.

Described as a friendly private dental practice with a team that ‘loves treating nervous patients’, Halesowen’s efforts were rewarded when they scooped ‘Best Care of Nervous Patients Award’ at the Oral Health Awards back in 2019 – and the team hasn’t looked back.

Indeed, in the three years she has been responsible for the practice’s digital marketing, Clare has seen a growing number of nervous patients coming through the doors simply because of what patients see on Halesowen’s social media accounts.
