Strategies for sorting out ‘fallings out’ at work and at home this Christmas

6 mins read Workplace issues/your health
Resolving (and avoiding) clashes at work (and play) has much more to do with open communication than ‘winning an argument’. Here, we look at some strategic moves for a ‘win-win’ solution

The workplace is a peculiar world – a dental practice arguably more so – especially as we spend more time with our work colleagues than we do with family and loved ones. It is very often made up of an expansive variety of personality types, all forced to work together for the benefit of the greater good, whatever that might be but, in your case, balancing the needs of patients with the demands of your dental business bosses whilst striving to deliver dentistry in a safe environment.

A dental team thrives on cohesion and, in a perfect world, work colleagues will bond well and support common financial interests as well as those all-important health care expectations – both of clinicians and the patients they treat. Good communication, common courtesy and a shared and positive outlook lie at the very heart of any successful business or healthcare ethos and all these ingredients should make for the perfect blend that will oil the cogs of production so that a dental business can deliver services and goods (dental health and treatments) safely, successfully and profitably.
