Raising the glass ceiling

An overview of the opportunities available for dental nurses to increase their professional knowledge and lead to an exciting and rewarding career

Well done, you have completed and passed The National Diploma in Dental Nursing (NEBDN) or completed your National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in dental nursing. All records of experience (ROE) have been handed in and passed, and you survived your Observed Structural Clinical Examination (OSCE). You appreciate that you are now registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and this has certain professional obligations for example, your personal and professional conduct within your work place and of course completion of 150 hours of continuous professional development (CPD), with a mixture of non-verifiable and verifiable CPD. (Please see table 1 for a break down of the required verifiable content).
