Take a few moments to think about the time and energy you put into the relationships you have with your patients, colleagues, students, partner, friends, relatives, neighbours and, undoubtedly, a few other groups of people with whom you interact. If someone gave you 100 'relationship tokens' last week, how many will you have spent on each of these different groups of people? Take one minute to jot down the different groups and people with whom you interacted over the last week and then allocate each of them a percentage of your tokens. I’ve just done so and used up my 100 tokens very quickly.
