Your contractual obligations
Your contract will outline the required notice that you are contractually obliged to provide your employer and for them to provide you with notice, ifthey wish to terminate your employment.There are variations to the requirements but, generally, in the first three months one week’s notice is required by either parties. In the first year it would be generally, four weeks notice. After this eachyear a week can be added to the four weeks notice up to twelve weeks.
