DISC personality insights is a simple and very brilliant human behaviour model that suggests that behaviours can be divided into four particular ‘home’ styles:

Dominant

Influential

Sensitive

Cautious.

We're all a mix of all four styles but tend to be one when most comfortable in our environment – although we'll switch to one of the other traits if under pressure or as the situation dictates. For example, when meeting people you can't be an I style all the time as you'll upset other personality types with your energy and enthusiasm just in the same way as if you were any of the other three temperaments, you'll shift to accommodate the circumstances.
