All in the cards

Francesca Walking tells us about her new handmade revision cards, and how they helped her and many others learn and continue their dental nursing education!

To give you a little background on myself and how I came to be running a small business, let me outline where this all began. A few years ago I completed the first couple of months of my dental nursing apprenticeship, but as with so many plans we all had, covid came barreling around the corner towards us pretty quickly and quickly put a hold on what had so far been my extremely enjoyable learning experience. The practice I was working with during the time of course closed and I was furloughed. Along with this, my training providers had to put my course on hold as well, so I was unable to carry on with my coursework. From there and throughout the whole lockdown, I was revising for my first dental exam and also trying to keep my brain refreshed on the instruments, treatments and materials I needed to be familiar with and use at work!
