Nominate a smile
When you hear the word ‘hero’ who comes to mind? When you hear the word ‘friend’, is there someone who instantly pops into your head?
When you’ve been through a hard time, has somebody been there for you through it all? If so, you should consider nominating them for this year’s Nominate a Smile competition.
As part of National Smile Month, campaign organisers the Oral Health Foundation, are giving you the opportunity to give someone special in your life the recognition they deserve.
During National Smile Month, we will pick one special person and award them with a prize. All you have to do is nominate them and tell us why they deserve to win.
If you are wondering what it takes to be chosen as one of our faces of National Smile Month, look no further than Dery Tuopar, one of last year’s winners. Dr Tuopar, a surgeon at Northampton General Hospital, inspired colleagues through his wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for helping others.
Out of work, Dery’s passion for improving oral health didn’t cease where he carried out charity work in dentistry back in his hometown of Ghana. He also carried out charitable work and in other countries helping those less fortunate out of pain and on the road to better oral health.
No matter what, we want to hear about anybody in your life, at work or in your community, that adds a little something special to your day each time you see them.
The best thing about the competition is that nominating someone special in your life couldn’t be any easier!
How to Nominate A Smile
All you have to do is send us a picture of your nominee, along with a brief description of what makes them so special to you. The only requirement for the picture you send along with your nomination is that we need to see your nominee smiling! It’s that simple.
Send your entries to us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org via social media at our official National Smile Month Facebook and Twitter using #NominateASmile.
For more information visit www.dentalhealth.org/nominateasmile.
There’s no need to wait until the beginning of the National Smile Month to send in your nominations – you can send them in now.
