CPD courses for the entire dental team

The General Dental Council (GDC) www.gdc-uk.org has introduced compulsory CPD for dentists, and after the introduction of the Statutory Register for dental nurses it will soon be compulsory for dental nurses to do a certain number of hours CPD per year.
As a testimony to Tempdents commitment to Lifelong Learning we will be running CPD courses for the dental team from 2006.

The courses will be run either at Tempdent or in your dental practice.

The CPD courses offered by Tempdent will include;

• The 6 competency requirements required to join the statutory register (for unqualified nurses)
• Health & Safety in the Dental Practice
• Medical Emergencies
• Cross Infection control in the dental practice
• Orthodontics
• Oral Health Trends
• Core of knowledge (short course in Radiography)
• Equal Opportunities, Diversity & Rights
• You do not need to attend these courses as part of a team
• You do not need to be a qualified dental nurse to do the above CPD courses
• You will receive an attendance certificate at the end of each course which you will be able to use as evidence of CPD training
