As dental receptionists will know the dental profession has long needed a dental receptionist qualification, which sadly has not been forthcoming.
Temp dent therefore decided through its extensive knowledge of NVQs & dental expertise to establish a unique dental receptionist qualification which is based on the Customer service NVQ level 2, keyskills qualifications & a technical certificate.

We feel that it is about time that dental receptionists were able to obtain a qualification & further recognition as professionals who are invaluable to the dental profession.

The full title of the dental receptionist qualification is The modern Apprenticeship in Customers service level 2. The awarding body for the qualification is City & Guilds

The course will typically follow the following structure;

• You will be allocated your own assessor who will guide you through the qualification
• Workplace observations. Your assessor will regularly observe you carrying out your receptionist duties in your workplace
• Portfolio building. Your assessor will guide you on how to build a portfolio of evidence, which needs to be completed in order for you to achieve your qualification
• Workshops. you will need to attend approximately 10 workshops at our training centre throughout the programme in order to provide you with the underpinning knowledge necessary for the keyskills & technical certificate & current dental reception procedures & legislation
• Keyskills and technical certificate. You will be required to partake in 2 short tests at our training centre for you to achieve these subsidiary qualifications
