National Certificate

Details:

The National Certificate for dental nurses was up until 2000 the only nationally recognised qualification for dental nurses. The awarding body is the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (www.nebdn.org).

The National Certificate is:

• 8 month course
• 2 intakes per year (September & February)
• Weekend or evening classes
• 100% exam based (consisting of a written paper, practical, oral & instrument identification)
• Exam held in a London Hospital every May & November
• Tempdents National Certificate pass rate has been between 73%-94% for the past 3 years
